Dona TIC Awards: Technology and Female Talent

These awards aim to recognize the role of women in the professional, business, and academic fields of information and communication technologies (ICT) and to highlight role models in society to promote vocations in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), encouraging greater female participation in technology and engineering careers.

Their mission is to promote female leadership in STEAM sectors and highlight role models to inspire more women.

Impact Social Cup recognizes the social impact of WIVI Vision

The Impact Social Cup is much more than a competition; it’s a learning experience, a source of inspiration, and a place for unique connections where companies from different sectors can showcase the impact they have on society.

WIVI Vision has made it this far thanks to an incredible team, the jury who recognized our potential, and a clear vision: to make visual health care accessible to all and improve people’s lives.

First, we were selected as semifinalists in the ‘Well-being’ category; then, we became finalists in our category, and finally, we won the 4th award!

Beyond the award, what truly excites us is the significant visibility of WIVI’s innovative technology that we have achieved thanks to this competition.

A few months ago, Globant’s initial jury selected Eva’s candidacy to nominate her for the Globant awards. After that, a voting phase began where people could support the nominated candidates to make them finalists for the #WomenThatBuildAwards.

Thanks to everyone who voted for Eva’s candidacy, she has been selected as a European finalist and will be able to compete to be one of the winners of the 5th edition of the #WomenThatBuildAwards!

For WIVI Vision, it’s a great honor to receive this award from the tenth edition of the Bioèxit Awards, which recognize the best projects of innovation and entrepreneurs in the biomedical and health sector in Catalonia.

The ‘Nit’ is the annual event where CataloniaBio & HealthTech celebrates this award and has been attended by more than 300 attendees, including government officials, entrepreneurs, executives, researchers, and partners.

The Health Minister, Manel Balcells, was responsible for presenting the Bioèxit Award to Eva García Ramos, CEO and Co-founder of WIVI Vision, and Marta Moreno, Director of Corporate Affairs and Market Access at AstraZeneca.

Our startup has been awarded for its recent internationalization, entering the US market through a local partner, consolidating its presence in Spain, and securing significant agreements with specialized firms.

Women Angels for STEAM is an international association of women business angels seeking to increase the presence of female entrepreneurs in STEAM.

The awards were presented at the ‘WA4STEAM Futures Forum,’ held to celebrate its 5th anniversary at the Cibernàrium Auditorium in Barcelona. Over 100 investors, entrepreneurs, and other participants from the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain attended the event.

Boosting the positive impact of #WIVI through Unicef Lab

WIVI Vision  has been selected by UNICEF Lab, the social accelerator with a focus on children’s rights by UNICEF Spain, developed by ISDI Accelerator, as one of the three projects that will receive the organization’s support through the provision of knowledge, tools, and new resources.

We will be part of the expansion of the acceleration program in which we will be accompanied by UNICEF and ISDI in identifying and harnessing the different business needs. A program that rewards projects for finding innovative solutions to childhood issues in Spain and around the world.

WIVI Vision is an innovative solution that improves people’s quality of life through the assessment and training of visual efficiency. Therefore, this recognition provides us with the opportunity to continue growing and developing a technology that results in a tangible improvement in the visual health and well-being of both children and adults.
